Period of Professionalization in the Hospital Public Service (HPF)

Are you a hospital public official and want to access a job requiring new skills or corresponding to different professional activities? The period of professionalization can allow you to carry out this project within the administration. It integrates service and training phases. It is therefore characterized by alternation. It's up to you or the administration. We present you with the information you need to know.

You can benefit from a period of professionalization if you are incumbent (civil servant) or non-incumbent (contractual), i.e. already in the hospital public service.

This involves periods of service and training. So it's alternating.

This alternation must enable a professional project to be carried out within the administration.

This project will:

  • Aims to gain access to a job requiring new skills
  • Or corresponds to different professional activities.

If you are civil servant in activityHowever, the period of professionalization may also allow you to access another body hospital civil service of the same level and category.

The period of professionalization is adapted to the specificities of the job for which you are destined. It may be in a different job than your previous assignment.

You can benefit from a period of professionalization of a duration between 3 months and 12 months (1 year).

The period of professionalization may be initiated:

  • At the request of your hospital
  • Or at your initiative.

Your Appointing Authority has 2 months to make yourself known:

  • His agreement
  • Or the reasons why she refuses.

In the event of a refusal, you may submit for an opinion the HEADINGHEADING : Joint Administrative Commission or the Joint Consultative Commission.

FYI  

Alone 2% of the total number of staff of the department or center concerned may be admitted during periods of professionalization, unless the head of establishment decides otherwise.

If there are fewer than 50 staff in the department or center, acceptance of a period of professionalization may be postponed if another staff member already benefits from it.

It can happen in whole or in part outside working time:

The number of hours eOutside working time may not exceed 50 per year.

The start of training gives rise to a convention between you and your hospital.

The Convention shall specify:

  • Functions that can be assigned to you if you have been assiduous and have passed the evaluations
  • Duration of the period of professionalization
  • Qualifications to be acquired
  • Training measures planned.

Yeah. Yeah. Your remuneration is maintained during the period of professionalization.

After the period of professionalization and after having passed an assessment, your detachment in the host body is pronounced.

After 2 years of actual services in this position of secondment, you are, on your request, integrated in the host body.
