How do I register for Operation Holiday Tranquility (OTV)?

You're leaving soon on holiday ? Toprevent burglaries, you can subscribe tooperation tranquility holidays. Services of policy or gendarme then take care of monitor your home. Of patrolling are organized to pass around your home. You will be warned in case of anomalies (degradation, burglary...). To register, you can use the internet service or go to the police station or gendarmerie brigade.

There is no need to provide proof of registration on the Internet.

Operation tranquility holiday is possible in metropolitan France and in the overseas departments and regions.

Your registration can be completed 45 days in advance and no later than

  • 3 days before your departure if your accommodation depends on the policy
  • The day before departure if your accommodation depends on the gendarme.

You can modify certain elements of your application (for example, report a change in access to your accommodation). However, if you want to change your absence dates, you must first cancel your request to file a new one.

Warning  

Editing and canceling can only be done by moving you to the gendarmerie brigade or police station.

Once the online process is complete, you are not informed of how the monitoring is going. You are only contacted by the police or gendarmerie if the patrol finds something suspicious.

  • Proof of domicile (rent receipt, electricity bill, last tax notice...).
