Can the employment contract of a protected employee be changed?

If the employer wants to change the employment contract of a protected employee, the employee must give his consent.
A protected employee shall enjoy special protection. In particular, it is intended to protect him from possible sanctions or reprisals by the employer because of his duties. Protection applies whether it is a simple change in working conditions or an essential element of the employment contract.

If the protected employee refuses the proposal, the employer must choose between the following 2 options:
- Keeping the employee in current working conditions
- Implement a redundancy procedure for protected employees
