Who shall I contact

Your resignation may be lawful if the company you have set up or resumed ceases.

You must complete the 3 cumulative conditions following:

  • Quit your job to create or resume a company that needs to be saved to the company formalities window
  • Not receiving the AER after your paid employment has ended
  • Be out of business for reasons beyond your control of the company you have set up or taken over.

Before you resign, check that you meet all of these conditions.

You can estimate your rights to the ARE by consulting the guide of simulators France Travail.

Reminder

For any individual questions, you can contact your agency France Travail.

If you meet these conditions, you can collect the AER.

If your resignation is not considered legitimate, you do not collect the RARE.

After 121 days of unemployment (about 4 months), you can ask France Travail the review of your situation to get the ARE.

A regional joint body of France Travail is responsible for verifying that the following 2 conditions are met:

  • Complete the conditions of award of the ARE (other than the condition of involuntary deprivation of employment)
  • Provide evidence of your active job search, possible short-term job openings and your steps to undertake training.

If your request is accepted, the starting point for the payment of the AER shall be 122e day of unemployment.
