Fund for the Development of Associative Life (FDVA)

The FDVA is attached to the ministry in charge of associative life.

Its aim is to contribute to the development of associations:

  • It funds the training of volunteers, elected or responsible for community activities.
  • It brings together experience and methods for project management and the creation of lasting associative activities. Within this framework, regional advisory commissions of the fund, chaired by regional prefects, can provide financial support for the implementation of projects or activities created by an association.

Grants are awarded:

  • Or by decision of the Minister responsible for community life, after consulting an advisory committee
  • Or by decision of the Prefect of the Region after the Regional Advisory Commission has delivered an opinion

Some associations are not eligible for the FDVA:

  • Affiliated and licensed sports associations (they can apply to the National Sports Development Council - CNDS)
  • Associations representing a professional sector, such as trade unions
  • Associations para-administrative whose budgetary resources consist mainly of public funds or which do not have real management autonomy vis-à-vis the subsidizing community

Each year, one national call for projects for volunteer training, managed by the Ministry responsible for community life, and calls for regional projects are published.

These documents shall specify the associations and training which may benefit from these arrangements.

They specify how to apply.

Territorial Associative Development Fund

Territorial community development funds may be established.

Associations contribute to their funding to organize training (or to carry out joint actions or launch mutual research and development programs).

To be eligible, you must have an association account.
