In general elections, french voters registered to vote elect members of parliament.

If you are not already registered, you must make the request. But you have to meet a deadline, which varies depending on you vote in France or that you vote from the foreigner.
Namely:
- One French who turns 18 is automatically registered on the electoral rolls if he or she has made the citizen census from the age of 16.
- A person in prison does not have to be disenfranchised. But she must register under a specific procedure.
- One guardianship adult may no longer be disenfranchised, even if the judge's decision predates March 23, 2019.

For parliamentary elections 2024, you can vote:
- Either by going in person to polling station (at the consulate or embassy) with a proof of identity, 29 June (1er tower) and 6 july (2d tower)
- Either by power of attorney, 29 June (1er tower) and 6 july (2d tower)
- Either by internet, from 25 June at 12 noon to 27 June at 12 noon for the 1er tour, and from July 3 at 12 pm to July 4 at 6 pm for the 2ndd tower. To do this, it may be necessary to update your contact information in the foreigner register. This must be done by June 16, 2024.

It is not possible to vote by correspondence in the 2024 general election.
From the rest of the world
For parliamentary elections 2024, you can vote:
- Either by going in person to polling station (at the consulate or embassy) with a proof of identity, 30 June (1er tower) and 7 july (2d tower)
- Either by power of attorney, 30 June (1er tower) and 7 july (2d tower)
- Either by internet, from 25 June at 12 noon to 27 June at 12 noon for the 1er tour, and from July 3 at 12 pm to July 4 at 6 pm for the 2ndd tower. To do this, it may be necessary to update your contact information in the foreigner register. This must be done by June 16, 2024.
Warning
It is not possible to vote by correspondence in the 2024 general election.
Members shall be elected by direct universal suffrage, by 2-round majority vote and by constituencies.
On the 1st round
To be elected on 1er in turn, a candidate must obtain:
- More than 50% of votes cast
- And a number of votes at least equal to 25% the number of registered voters.
If no candidate is elected on 1er tower, a 2d tour is organized a week later.
In the second round
Only certain candidates can apply at 2d tower:
- The 2 candidates who came out on top
- Subsequent candidates, provided that they have obtained a number of votes at least equal to 12.5% the number of registered voters.
At 2d In turn, the candidate with the highest number of votes is elected. In the event of a tie, the oldest of the candidates is elected.
The term of office of the deputies is 5 years (unless the National Assembly is dissolved).
On 9 June 2024, the Head of State announced the dissolution of the National Assembly.
The next parliamentary elections will be held on June 29 and 30, 2024 for the 1er tour, and 6 and 7 july 2024 for the 2d tower.
