Are you a student, apprentice or job seeker and want to do an internship at a company or training institution in Europe?
The programs Erasmus + and Eurodysseus give you that opportunity. Various aids to finance your internship period are offered.
We present you with the information you need to know.
Student
If you are a student, you can do an internship in Europe with the program Erasmus + higher education.
You can starting an Erasmus + higher education internship from your 1re years of study up to and including doctorate.
To do this, you must be enrolled in a higher education institution that has a Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).
Your internship must be in relation to the diploma prepared.
You can also take advantage of the program within one year of graduation.
You can go on an internship Erasmus + between 2 and 12 months.
You can benefit of an internship Erasmus + by course of study (bachelor's, master's, doctorate).
You can go to a country of the European Economic Area (EEA), Turkey, Macedonia and Serbia.

During your studies
Your period of internship abroad is supervised by your educational institution and your host company. You have to go with her a traineeship agreement.

After graduation
Your internship must take place within one year of graduation.

You can go to a country of the European Economic Area (EEA), Turkey, Macedonia and Serbia.
Your period of internship abroad is supervised by your educational institution and your host company. You have to go with her a traineeship agreement.
During your internship, you remain an employee of your french company. Your salary is maintained. So you have to get theagreement from your french employer to start an internship.

Conditions to be fulfilled
You can take advantage of the program if you complete the 2 conditions following:
- You're a job seeker aged 18-30
- You reside in one of the member regions of the Association of European Regions
Companies concerned
Many companies of the member regions of the Association of European Regions may participate in this program. These structures are:
- private and public companies
- Small and medium-sized companies and large international groups
- Economic bodies
- Research and development centers
- Public structures, local communities, consular offices, educational institutions, etc.
Approach
Internships are organized by the host regions.
All procedures are carried out online on the website Eurodysseus. Once you have created your profile, you will be able to choose the internship offers you are interested in and send your application.

Financing
Internships are funded by the host regions.
Your support includes language courses, housing, a monthly salary or grant, insurance, certification.
Duration
The internship lasts between 3 and 7 months.
Coaching
During your internship, you will be followed and assisted by the program coordinators of the host region.
Conditions to be fulfilled
You can take advantage of the program if you meet all the conditions following:
- You're a job seeker at least 18 years of age
- You reside in France
- You are a national of the European Economic Area (EEA), Turkey or Macedonia. If not, you must have the right to work in the country of destination at the time of application.
- You must practice the language of the destination country (or English for English courses) at a level sufficient to carry out a traineeship (minimum A2)
Please note
you can perform one internship under this program.
Companies concerned
You can do your internship in a facility (company, association, training organization, etc.) located in the European Economic Area (EEA), Turkey or Macedonia.

Approach
Talk to your France Travail advisor. It will help you define your project and will indicate the steps to be taken to submit your application.
Financing
The program is funded by the European Commission and France Travail. It shall bear the following costs:
- Round-trip tickets (home - destination city)
- Single room accommodation: roommate or host family depending on availability. Accommodation must be provided by the local partner.
- Liability insurance and repatriation insurance during your mobility
- Organizing and monitoring your mobility
The daily living costs on the spot (food, telephone, personal expenses, public transport) and the possible deposit for the accommodation are at your expense.
Duration
The internship lasts between 3 and 6 months.
Coaching
You are accompanied by a France Travail advisor during the internship period and upon your return.
