If you will soon be hosted in EhpadEhpad : Accommodation for dependent elderly persons, you can get help under several conditions.
There are 3 aids to the payment of the accommodation rate and the dependency rate of the Éhpad:
- Custom Autonomy Allocation (Apa) used to pay part of the dependency tariff invoiced by Ehpad. This aid is granted to the elderly person whose loss of autonomy is classified in Gir 1, Gir 2, Gir 3 or Gir 4. A person classified as Gir 5 or Gir 6 is not eligible for the Apa.
- Housing assistance (SLA or APL) which is used to pay part of the accommodation rate invoiced by Ehpad.
- Social assistance for housing (ASH), which is paid to the elderly person when he is accommodated in certain Éhpad only.
Such aid may be cumulated.

An older person in Ahepad may also be given an energy check.
If it's taxable, it can get a tax reduction not exceeding €2,500.
