Can a private sector employee resign during parental leave?

Yes, the employee may resign during parental leave in accordance with standard procedure for resignation.
The employment contract is then terminated at the end of the notice period.
If the period of notice does not cover the entire period of parental leave, the employee must return to company to complete his last days of notice at the end of the leave.
Example :
The employee shall inform the employer of his resignation 1,5 months before the end of his parental leave. Your notice period is 2 months. The employee must return to company to complete the last 15 days of notice at the end of parental leave.
If the employee resigns because he has found a new job, he cannot start it before the end of the current notice period.
However, the employee may request the agreement of his employer to reduce the period of notice or cancel it. The employer is not obliged to accept the employee's request.
