Should a change in situation (relocation, separation, unemployment...) be reported when receiving family benefits?

Depending on your overall diet (Caf: titleContent) or the agricultural scheme (MSA: titleContent).

Caf

If you are receiving family benefits, you must report any changes in your personal, family or work situation. This may involve a move, a cohabitation, the conclusion of a Civil partnerships: titleContent, marriage, separation or divorce. It can also be the arrival or departure of a child or a dependent.

You have to declare quickly your change of situation.

You can do this directly in your online account. You must click Declare a change in the My efforts :

If you are in a relationship and do not receive family benefits, ask your Caf: titleContent : your new situation may give you rights. For the Caf, it is not not necessary to be married or to have passed away to be considered as living as a couple.

You can report your change of address using the online change of address service:

You can make a new application for housing assistance for your new address as soon as you enter the premises so as not to lose rights.

Even if you already have this benefit, you need to make a new request in the My Account Space, under the heading " Simulate or request a benefit ’:

You must report in particular the following events:

  • You found work
  • You are unemployed after you have registered for France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi)
  • You're retired
  • Accident at work You are suffering from long-term illness, in
  • You work in France for a foreigners employer
  • You work abroad.

You have to declare quickly your change of situation.

MSA

If you are receiving family benefits, you must report any changes in your personal, family or work situation. This may include a move, a cohabitation, a Civil partnership, a marriage, a separation or even a divorce. It can also be the arrival or departure of a child or a dependent.

You must quickly declare your change of situation.

The declaration of separation concerns you if you are in a couple whether you are married, past or in a common-law relationship.
