Is your pregnancy confirmed? Health insurance must be informed of this before the end of 3e month of pregnancy. This information allows you to take charge of your pregnancy by the Health Insurance and the payment of future family benefits. The steps to be taken vary depending on whether they are done on the Internet or with a paper form. We'll lay out the rules for you.
You must perform a 1er prenatal check-up with your doctor (general practitioner or gynecologist) or midwife before the end of 3e months of pregnancy.
Your doctor or midwife can register your pregnancy online. It is then automatically transmitted to your health insurance fund and to your family allowance fund (CAF).
If not, you must submit the paper return.
Reminder
To make your refunds easier, consider updating your vital card. For this purpose, terminals are available in:
- Health insurance bodies
- Pharmacies
- Some health facilities.

General case
Your doctor or midwife completes your pregnancy declaration online and sends it directly to your health insurance fund and your family allowance fund (CAF).
The declaration of your pregnancy is automatically registered by the agencies. It's made before the end of 3eme month of pregnancy
You don't have a form to fill out or any mail to send.
If you are the head of company or collaborating spouse, you can see:
- A flat-rate maternity rest allowance
- And a replacement allowance.
Sickness Insurance has sent you a maternity benefit booklet allowing you to submit your claims to your health insurance fund.

Agricultural Scheme (AMM)
The declaration of pregnancy can be made online by your doctor, if he offers it to you and with your consent.
It's made before the end of 3e month of pregnancy
If you are a farmer, you benefit from a systematic postponement of the time taken to pay your social security contributions.

The approach depends on the plan to which you are attached (general or agricultural plan).

General case
Your doctor or full midwife and give you the form three-part declaration of pregnancy entitled ‘ First prenatal medical examination ”.
To declare your pregnancy, please fill in the following information and contact:
- The pink component to your health insurance fund
- The 2 blue components at your Family Allowance Fund (CAF).
Reminder
you must declare your pregnancy before the end of 3e month of pregnancy to benefit as soon as possible from your pregnancy under maternity insurance.

Agricultural arrangements
The declaration of pregnancy is given to you by your general practitioner, gynecologist or midwife at 1er prenatal examination confirming your pregnancy.
To benefit from all your rights, you must send your declaration of pregnancy within the first 14 weeks or before the end of 3e month.
To do this, send the form "first prenatal medical examination" (pink slip of the declaration) to cover your medical expenses.
The 2 blue sheets of this document are also to be sent to your MSA, if you choose it for the payment of your family benefits.
FYI
In return, your MSA sends you the medical surveillance guide "Mother and Infant". This guide contains the personalized schedule of medical examinations to be carried out during your pregnancy and during the first 2 months of your child's life.
