The legal organization of the co-ownership is based on three entities whose roles are complementary. The co-owners' union brings together all the owners within the building and makes decisions about the building. The condominium trustee (professional or volunteer) is responsible for the administration of the building. The trade union council, whose members are elected from among the co-owners, assists and controls the trustee.
