The signaling through this online service can be used by any individual (major or minor), regardless of nationality.
You don't have to give your identity. You only need to provide an email address.
What is the classified ad scam?
The classified ad scam is a infringement.
It is, for a malicious individual (person physics or morality), to post an offer to sell a property (e.g. household goods, clothing, vehicles, etc.) when he knows that the property does not exist or does not comply with the advertisement.
The fake seller is liable even if he uses a website serving as an intermediary between people (example: Leboncoin, Ebay, Vinted, etc.)
What are the conditions for reporting on THESEE?
You can report on this online service if:
- You have never received your order and are unable to contact the seller
- You've never met the perpetrator. Relationship must be virtual
- The seller asked you for money. It is not necessary that a payment and/or collection has taken place

If you are an adult, you can also file a complaint on THESEE.
For minors, the complaint must be lodged by their legal representatives (e.g. parents).
What are the consequences of such a report?
Reporting is not a complaint. It consists solely in informing the investigation services of theThe offense and to provide them with information to identify the perpetrator.
If you report a scam to the classified ad, you will not be kept informed of the outcome of your report.
